There has been another heat wave the last few days and much like last time there has been sweat and fury. The last two days have been in the high 70s to low 80s and here's the thing: London doesn't know how to do heat any more than the American south knows how to do snow. Most places don't have air conditioning because in general it doesn't get hot enough to warrant it and on top of that there is no such thing as an ice cold beverage in this country (unless it involves alcohol in which case sometimes the beverage is pleasantly frosty.) I think it's supposed to cool down again tomorrow, but yikes what a miserable experience. I may have grown up in warmer climes, but most people stay inside once it gets this hot. This hanging outside when it's hot business is a little bit over the top for me.
